Suntukan is a training method for fighting. It’s objective is to use Filipino techniques in Full Contact Fighting in a more realistic way. The sparring part of Suntukan assists the student with timing and the sensation of realism. The practitioner will be sparring with one stick and is allowed to use punches, elbows, kicks, knees, throwing and sweeping techniques.

This is nothing but a full contact sport. The only way to join the Suntukan Stickfighting Society and carry its mark is by practicing Suntukan sparring and entering Suntukan competitions. Johan Skalberg Founder and Head Instructor is the International Technical Director of the Suntukan Stickfighting for the IKAEF.
